This is the 12th and final time I have the opportunity to write to you as the Coordinator of Division 2. In retrospect, 8 years have flown by, as that is when my duties with Division 2 began as editor of our Perspectives! With all the hard work come so many benefits, the best of which are all the new friendships I have made over the past years. Those friends are so unique, as they have the same passion that I have for the work we do to improve the lives of people with serious communication impairments. It has been a pleasure to get to know dozens of Division 2 affiliates and to now count many of them among my best friends. Through my Division 2 connections, my little office at Old Dominion University has been very busy and occupied, and no longer quite so lonely. The final quarter of 2005 has been no different.
