It is hard to believe that summer is over and the annual ASHA Convention is right around the corner. Let me fill you in on some of the division activities, and then I will highlight some of the Division 2-sponsored events at the Convention in San Francisco. Many of you have expressed appreciation for the special July newsletter that was contributed by our Clinical Subcommittee. The features that were included in that issue will be continued in future newsletters—so there is more helpful clinical information to come! We thank Mary Boyle for her contribution as Issue Editor of the July newsletter. As you will see in this newsletter, the Advocacy Committee continues to offer useful information on the Power of One page. Additionally, Nan Musson, from the Advocacy Committee, provided some information about Legislative Council in this issue. Other committee activity includes a plan from our Research Committee to promote research and research mentorship in neurogenics by devising a small grant program. (See the details below).
