Welcome to the second issue of the 2012 Perspectives on Neurophysiology and Neurogenic Speech and Language Disorders. We extend our appreciation to Gina Griffiths for serving as guest editor for this excellent issue devoted to the topic of high-level reading comprehension and discourse processing in cognitively impaired adolescents and adults.
The 2012 ASHA Healthcare and Business Institute was held April 28–29 in Memphis, TN. I hope that many SIG 2 affiliates were able to attend this meeting and take advantage of the excellent program of speakers and continuing education (CE) credits. We would like to thank SIG 2 Coordinating Committee (CC) member Gloriajean Wallace for meeting with SIG 2 affiliates to hear their views about our SIG and gather suggestions and ideas for addressing the interests of our affiliates.
