Greetings, Division 2 affiliates. As you may know, the Board of Division Coordinators (BDC) comprises the Coordinators who head the Steering Committees of the 16 Special Interest Divisions, along with a BDC chair and ex officio members, including the ASHA vice presidents who have oversight responsibility (the vps for professional practices in speech-language pathology and in audiology). The BDC meets three times a year to discuss the division program and to share ideas. One of the reasons for the BDC meeting as a group is to find ways that the divisions might work together toward common goals. This joint collaboration newsletter is an example of such an effort. I am very pleased to recognize Special Interest Division 1, Language Learning and Education, as our collaborator on this issue of the Division 2 newsletter (note our new title: Perspectives in Neurophysiology and Neurogenic Speech and Language Disorders).
