Welcome to the second issue of Perspectives in 2008—the year Perspectives has gone green! I hope the transition to online Perspectives has been easy. Summer is upon us, bringing with it the annual tradition of commencement ceremonies marking the entrance of new professionals into their chosen careers. Please join me in welcoming the graduates in speech-language pathology and audiology as they begin their careers in clinical or academic settings. I encourage each of you to talk with our newest colleagues—as well as other colleagues—about the benefits of Special Interest Division affiliation, and recruit them to become part of the Division program. I look forward to welcoming many new affiliates to Division 2 as our membership continues to increase; we currently have over 3,500 affiliates.
