Welcome, Division 2 affiliates, to the first issue of Perspectives for 2007. Thank you to all of you who show continuing commitment to the Division and remain affiliates year after year. Welcome to those of you who are new to the Division; we hope you will find affiliation worthwhile. Division 2 recently passed a milestone: We have some 3,500 affiliates! Affiliates’ names are listed on the roster on our affiliates-only pages (www.asha.org/about/ membership-certification/divs/ div2member/). We are an impressive and active group.
As I introduce the volunteer leaders of the Division, let me start by thanking Mary R.T. Kennedy for her service on the Steering Committee (SC). Mary completed her 3-year term at the end of 2006, and we wish her well in her future activities. Two new SC members began their terms in January: Julie Wambaugh, who was re-elected and continues as Associate Coordinator, and Edy Strand.
