Formost of us, the temperatures have turned cooler and leaves have turned color, signaling that fall is here. In addition to admiring the foliage, this time of year we turn our attention to the upcoming ASHA Convention. I hope you will join me in Miami (where the leaves stay green and the temperatures warm) for “Building Bridges Through Communication.” Division 2 has several activities at the Convention, including our annual Affiliate Meeting, Fri., Nov. 17, 4:00–5:00 p.m. Please watch the Convention Daily for notice of the meeting room and bring your ideas for Division activities.
The Division-sponsored Short Course (SC24), “Childhood Apraxia of Speech Treatment: Incorporating Principles of Motor Learning,” will be presented by Edythe Strand, Sat., at 1:00 p.m. Division affiliates enjoy a 50% reduction on fees for this and other select Division-sponsored Short Courses. For information, go to www.asha.org/about/events/convention/program-courses/short_courses.htm.
