Summer has flown by this year and, as you receive this issue of Perspectives, fall is in full swing. Now is a good time to reflect on several Division 2 activities and issues of interest to our affiliates that have transpired over the course of the summer. One piece of good news early in the summer was the temporary reprieve from the $1,500 shared Medicare cap for PT and Speech. This issue continues to be a source of concern to our affiliates. Please get in touch with your legislators via the ASHA Web site. Let your patients know how easy it is to contact them as well. The groundswell of support for repealing the cap continues to grow. We just need congress to act. Let’s be proactive and appeal to our legislators to repeal this regulation as soon as possible.
