Let me start by thanking those affiliates who have sent me comments over the past few months. I appreciate your taking advantage of the direct link that we can have to one another. Believe me, I am learning a great deal in a very short period of time. I continue to marvel at the efforts of my predecessors, Lee Ann Golper and Leslie Gonzalez Rothi, and the Steering Committee members who developed our division and set us on course. Much work has been done, and many mechanisms are in place to benefit our affiliates; now I hope to see us move forward with equal competence.
