ASHA Special Interest Division 2, Neurophysiology and Neurogenic Speech and Language Disorders, is approved by the Continuing Education Board of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ( ASHA) to provide continuing education activities in speech-language pathology and audiology. The CE content of this newsletter is offered for 0.2 CEU (intermediate level; professional area). ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
Now that I’m completing a second year as the CE Administrator, and through nearly a full year of the new per-issue CEU system, I feel like I really know what I’m doing! I appreciate all comments about the newsletter CE activity. I have tried to integrate them to make the whole process more straightforward. Thanks also to all the affiliates who have made our transition to per-issue CEUs go so smoothly. We’ve only had a few mix-ups with the new system of deadlines. We are very excited about the increase in the number of affiliates participating in the newsletter CE activity. Over 400 of you earned CEUs for the June issue, and we expect at least that many for October and December. I’m planning to install a larger mailbox to accommodate all of the forms that I’m receiving. The deadline for returning all CE forms for the December issue is February 15, 2005.
