Welcome to the final issue of Perspectives for 2004.1 always head into December full of excitement and enthusiasm after returning from our annual ASHA Convention. After the sessions and interactions at Convention, I return to my office reinvigorated to continue the worthwhile work we do every day of our lives. I extend special thanks to several affiliates who represented Division 2 in our sponsored events at Convention. A full house heard Chick LaPointe, Roberta Elman, Adrienne Blanchard, and me discuss aphasia treatment options in our Division 2 Short Course. Janet Patterson was the Division 2 representative to the excellent clinical hot topics session. Several Division 2 affiliates were recognized at the wonderful Honors Session on Friday night. Kathy Yorkston, whose clinical and research expertise we all appreciate, was the deserving recipient of the Honors of the Association. Congratulations also to Division 2 members Joan Arvedson, Brooke Hallowell, and Nancy Helm-Estabrooks who were all recognized as ASHA Fellows.
